About Us & FAQs

Established in 2022

Well, since I’ve been in this country, our elders – particularly Mama T and Aunty Mary have advocated for us all to contribute a little something each month for unplanned events.  Since, we’ve experienced quite a number of unplanned events yet our elders’ dream has not come into fruition.

Join us as we bring this plan into fruition.

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

These questions were raised by several family members during the development of this site.  If you have any additional question(s) after going through these questions and answers, please scroll to the bottom of this page to submit your question(s).

The best way to answer questions is by giving an example:

Check this out…if 30 family members – and I believe we’re more than 30 here in the U.S. – had consistently contributed at least $25/month over the last 15 years, we would have raised $135,000. Yup, $135,000 – real money. Of course, some of the money would have been used to help with unplanned and planned events. However, a substantial amount would remain at our disposal at this very moment.

This is the reason for this savings plan

Of course, it would have been great if we started 15+ years ago. God willing, there is still another 15+ years ahead of us. We essentially missed out on raising $135,000 over the last 15 years. Let’s work together to make sure that we don’t miss out on another $135,000+ over the next 15+ years.

Here’s the contribution breakdown for working adult 18 years of age or older: $30/month.

  • $10 assigned to unplanned family events
  • $15 assigned to personal savings
  • $5 assigned to planned events

Here’s the contribution breakdown for full-time and part-time students: $20/month ($6 to unplanned family events, $10 for savings, and $4 for planned events).

  • You don’t have to contribute to savings or planned family activities. You can simply contribute your $10/month or $6/month.
  • You may choose to contribute more if you want. If you contribute more, the excess amount (based on your status) will come out and the balance will be divided accordingly.
  • Unplanned events – includes of death or major illness where we will need to contribute capital to help out. If we all (let’s say 30 family members) contribute $10 per month, we will have saved $3,600 in 12 months…and that’s a lot more than we currently have saved collectively at this moment.
  • Savings – many of us would love to be more deliberate with our savings and develop the habit of setting something aside on a monthly basis. By placing a portion of your contribution aside to savings, this will help to start the gradual habit of wealth building.   Of course, this is optional.
  • Planned events – these are activities that include, but are not limited to family retreats, reunions, graduations, weddings, etc. This is also optional.
We will establish a voting system where all contributors can participate.
No, although it’s a family savings plan- we encourage individual participation. Meaning – if there are 4 people in a household, each person is encouraged to participate individually.

No.  This is not ‘SuSu’ or anything associated with the modern day ‘SuSu’.  Each person simply contributes a small amount of their earnings so that we can help our family members who are in need.

The FDIC will insure it. You will receive quarterly bank statements from me. Also, each paying participant will be able to verify the total amount with the bank directly in real-time. As the capital increases, we will set internal banking regulations – who can withdraw, how many signatures required to withdraw, etc.
We will simply encourage you to double up in the subsequent month. However, we do encourage family members to commit to the cause.
That’s the goal – unless you want to contribute more than your share. We do hope that this system will encourage us to be proactive and save enough money over the years whereby individual donations will be obsolete – or simply optional.

This is a challenging question.  Over the next several months, we will request details per how the funds will be used.  We will have to develop sound methods by which to determine whether the funds may be pocketed, misused, or properly directed to the intended cause.

Thank you for your registration – we truly appreciate you.  We normally update the website twice a week.  So, depending on when you registered, it may take up to 3 days for the numbers to change.

Absolutely, you may withdraw on your savings at any time. However, we strongly encourage contributors to build up their savings over the next 5,10,15+ years. The goal is engage in the habit of saving over an extended period of time.

In the case you MUST withdraw your savings, please aim to do it once a year.

Sponsorship is the noble act of contributing on behalf of another person(s).

Absolutely. You may sponsor as many people as you like. To sponsor someone, please complete the brief “Join Now” form.

As far as we’re concern, the bank is not concerned about multiple deposits from a number of different people.

This is a domain name (Krulook.com) Pio has had access to for couple of years.  We hope that the name does not deter people from contributing since it has no impact on the mission.

At this moment, the group decided that we will only contribute to immediate family members – which includes participant and their parents, children, spouses, and grandparents.

No.  Strangers are not allowed to join due to legal reasons.  We are not an investment entity or a non-profit; therefore, we cannot accept capital from strangers.

February 1, 2022. You have until the end of the month to make your payment.

For those who are in school and/or unemployed, we would not expect them to contribute.  However, they can be sponsored by others.

This will be a collective effort by the participants.  We encourage the youth to participate in leading some of the meetings as well as running the backend operations.

You may make your payment for the month any time during the month.

In the very near future, we will encourage participants to sponsor senior citizens. As for now, there is no discount.
